Explore the Busselton Foreshore

The newly revamped Busselton Foreshore is amazing. There are 3 playgrounds in close proximity, a skatepark and plenty of BBQ facilities for a real Aussie lunch by the sea. Not feeling like cooking. There are plenty of eateries around the Jetty too. Tip: Get the kids to jump off the Jetty like the local kids! It’s heaps of fun.

Hop on a Jet Boat

Head to Dunsborough’s Old Boat Ramp on Finlayson Street. There you will be hopping on a jet boat for one of Jet Adventures extraordinary tours – either the ‘Cape Naturaliste Wilderness Cruise’ or the ‘Canal Rocks Ocean Safari’. Both tours will allow you to witness spectacular landscapes, incredible geographical formations and wonderful wilderness including encounters with dolphins, seals and sea-lions. Each tour goes for approximately two to three hours.

Simmo’s Ice creamery

This place is just WOW! They have that many different ice creams (60!!! flavours) that you must at least visit them twice. They also have mini golf available with sand bunkers and water hazards the 18 hole course is sure to incite some competition and certainly many laughs. And let’s not forget the ice cream eating Emu’s. Your kids will be in heaven.

Yallingup Maze

At the Yallingup Maze you can challenge yourself and your family with the mind-boggling timber maze. Keep testing your skills and teasing your brain while you enjoy lunch in the fully licensed and air-conditioned Puzzle Cafe.

Enjoy an outdoor movie at Cape Mentelle

Snorkel the Aquarium near Smith’s Beach

Get There: Park at the lookout off Canal Rocks Road, Yallingup, and walk down.
Snorkel at the secret rock pool of The Aquarium, a natural haven for colourful marine life.The rocks have created a lagoon protected by the surf, so it’s always calm and outrageously blue. It’s also surrounded by loads of rock pools you can spend hours exploring.

Spend a day at Meelup Beach

This picturesque beach is one not to miss! Beautiful white sand, clear turquoise water and shady grassed areas. Meelup Beach is the perfect spot for a family beach day, ideal for picnics and swimming in it's calm waters. Grab your snorkel and explore the crystal clear waters. There are free BBQs available, so you have no excuse to spend less than a day here. You can also hire SUPs and snorkel gear at Meelup.

Canal Rocks

A narrow timber walkway allows for easy access and great views of the rushing ocean beneath. It is always impressive no matter what the weather, but breathtaking when the big storms and swells roll in. The timber pathway meanders around and across the rocks, taking in grand seascapes with swirling water to little pools and lagoons where you can look for marine creatures like cheeky crabs to brightly coloured starfish. For something more challenging there are areas to climb over rocks, or take an energetic stroll to the lookout about 500m from the road. For the more adventurous, snorkelling and fishing are popular activities in the sheltered areas but be sure to heed the directional and warning signs. A finger jetty and boat ramp add to the facilities offered.

Caves House Sunday sessions

Caves House Hotel is the quintessential Australian pub and has been the resident watering hole for the locals since 1905. Tens of thousands of patrons have frequented the pub for its famous summer Sunday sessions over the decades.

Head to the Beer Farm

The Beer Farm - an original working dairy farm in Metricup now converted to one of the Margaret River Region's newest breweries! Offering a rustic and historic experience The Beer Farm uses the converted dairy farm as a beer-centric visitor venue.
